Follow me down to the old Lagoon, where the view is beyond your wildest dreams. There are no walls, and no bars that anyone can put on your mind when you are down here.
OK, The Lagoon!
The Lagoon is by far my longest worked on project thus far, takimng me almost two whole weeks of work to finish it. The initial Terragen render can be viewed in my scraps, with out Photoshopping. Heres the link for that: [link]
. As you can clearly tell, I did some serious work on it. So, here are some points of interest you should take into account when viewing...
--Lake Powell is on the largest planet, in between the Palm Trees
--the palm trees!
The WATERFALL!!! This is the first time I have ever implemented a waterfall into any of my scenes, and I think it turned out rather nice.
Speaking of the nebula, I wanted to go for an unconventional neb. Everyone it seems lately is doing the "big explosion with the dark gas clouds around it" nebula. I recently bought a Wacom Tablet, so I will be making those kinds too, but I wanted to work on something a little bit different. I have actually painted most of the nebula with the Wacom. Alot of it is a textured brush, and alot of it is pure brushing with a soft round.
Soooooo... I had a set image in my mind and I made it the way I wanted it.
I found that the nebula is very cool without the background and looks great on its own, so I will be releasing a new deviation soon, one which is completely the nebula. Hope you will like it!
If anyone wants a wallpaper version of The Lagoon, you are gonna have to message me in the comments, because as of right now I am not planning on releasing any sort of wallpaper. Drop me a note if you want one.
Time Taken: about two weeks, on and off
